Description
Naturally, you will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee brewed by your DeLonghi Magnifica or DeLonghi Dinamica time after time. But did you know what happens when your coffee is brewed? The coffee beans are ground, hot water is added and this combines to make a delicious cup of coffee. Unfortunately, coffee residues, coffee fats and coffee oils accumulate over time inside your coffee machine. This makes your coffee taste less good.
DeLonghi denies the negative effects of leftover coffee residues. We know better! A well-maintained coffee machine lasts longer and ensures the best coffee. That is why we have developed a special cleaning method so you can optimally clean your Magnifica or Dinamica coffee machine. The DeLonghi Magnifica and Dinamica models do not have an automatic cleaning program. That’s why we recommend to use the instructions on the instructions page.

Use two to three Eccellente Cleaning Tablets for one cleaning cycle.

You can only clean your DeLonghi machine with cleaning tablets if your machine has the option to make coffee using pre-ground coffee. The pre-ground coffee goes into this compartment the machine won't use beans but the ground coffee when you select this option.
Please note: this feature is necessary for the cleaning process.

Instructions
Step 1:
Take 2 Eccellente cleaning tablets and break them in half so that they fit through the opening properly.
Step 2:
Next, place the tablets in the compartment for ground coffee. Set the machine to the ground coffee mode and press the button for a large cup of coffee.
The machine will now pass water through the tablets and distribute it throughout the brewing unit. Once half a cup is brewed, completely turn off the machine by unplugging it. Let it soak for 10 minutes.
Step 3:
Turn the machine back on and make a large cup of coffee using coffee beans. This will flush out any remaining coffee residue and the cleaning tablets. It's okay if a small portion of the cleaning tablets end up in the residue tray. After completing this step, the machine is thoroughly cleaned and can be used again to make delicious coffees and cappuccinos!
