Descaling Bosch Tassimo T12
All household appliances need proper maintenance, and this also applies to Bosch's Tassimo coffee machines. When you use this appliance, it will leave grease residue, dirt residue and limescale residue. By using Bosch's recommended Tassimo Descaling tablets, you will ensure that all cups of coffee have the taste like the first one had. Maintaining your Tassimo coffee machine properly, besides ensuring that the quality of your coffee, tea or chocolate drink remains at the same level, also ensures that your coffee machine will have a longer lifespan. The images below show step-by-step instructions on how to clean and descale your Tassimo machine. The descriptions explain how to perform these steps point by point.
Preparing your Bosch Tassimo machine
1. Remove the water tank from the Tassimo machine. Remove the paper indicator and the drip tray from the water tank.
2. Then place the drip tray at the front of the Tassimo machine and install the power cable at the rear of the machine, when this cable is installed at the rear side of the machine, power can be put on the machine.
3. Activate the machine by turning the On/Off button on the right side of the Tassimo appliance to the On position.
4. Open the cup holder on the front of the Tassimo machine. This can be opened by pulling the flap upwards.
5. Remove the yellow ''Descaling cartridge'' from the drawer under the Tassimo machine and store it well. The drawer under the Tassimo machine is perfect for this.
6. Place the yellow descaling cartridge in the cup holder you have already opened. It should be placed in the top drawer. The drawer has a special fit for the cups and/or cartridges.
7. Then close the cup holder on the front of the Tassimo machine. This can be closed by pushing the lid down.
8. Place the water tank under the tap and clean it well. When the water tank is clean of dirt, you can fill it up to the ''Max'' mark.
9. Then place the water tank filled back into the Tassimo machine.
10. Place a mug or cup with a minimum capacity of 250 ml under the drain at the front of the Tassimo machine.
11. Then press the button on the right front of the appliance.
12. After pressing the rinse button, the appliance starts rinsing. Repeat this three times and then empty the mug or cup. When the machine has rinsed three times, you can open the cup holder on the front of the Tassimo machine again.
13. Remove the descaling cartridge from the cup holder and replace it at the bottom of the machine.
14. When you have carried out all the above points, your Bosch Tassimo coffee machine is ready for use.
Putting your Bosch Tassimo machine into operation
1. Remove the water tank from your Tassimo machine and fill it up to the ''Max'' line with water. When you have filled it, you can replace the water tank in the machine.
2. Activate the machine by turning the On/Off button on the right side of the Tassimo machine to the On position.
3. Open the cup holder on the front of the Tassimo machine and place a cup or mug under the coffee spout.
4. Place a coffee, tea or choco cup of your choice in the Tassimo machine.
5. Close the cup holder.
6. Press the coffee button on the front right of the Tassimo machine.
7. The drink of your choice is prepared, remember the drink is hot! As long as the production light on the front right of the Tassimo appliance is flashing, the cup holder on the front of the appliance cannot be opened.If you want the appliance to stop, you can press the coffee button on the appliance again, which will stop the appliance from producing the drink.If you want the appliance to make more coffee, tea or chocolate drink, you can keep the coffee button pressed, which will cause the appliance to produce more of the desired drink, when the desired amount is reached, you can release the button, which will cause the appliance to stop producing.
8. When the production light stops flashing the drink is ready and the used cup can be removed from the cup holder.
9. The cup that has been used can be thrown in the grey container (not with the organic waste, plastic waste, paper waste or glass waste).Enjoy your drink it is ready and can be drunk.
Cleaning your Bosch Tassimo machine
1. Deactivate the machine by turning the On/Off button on the right side of the Tassimo machine to the Off position. Then, for safety and security, remove the power cable from the socket.
2. Next, remove the drip tray on the front of your Tassimo machine. Once you have removed the drip tray, you can remove the lid of the tray and clean it together with the drip tray, these can also be put in the dishwasher.
3. Remove the holder for the cups. Then clean it well, this can also be done in the dishwasher.
4. Remove the outlet pipe from the machine, this can be done simply by pushing the spout from the bottom upwards. Once you have removed this pipe you can clean it, this part can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
5. When all these parts have been removed from the machine, use a cloth to clean the inside of the machine from grease, coffee grounds and/or dirt.
6. When the inside of Tassimo machine has been cleaned you can replace the spout in the head of the machine.
7. Place the cup holder back in the head of your Tassimo machine and replace the drip tray under the spout.
8. You can easily clean the water tank with a (possibly damp) cloth. You cannot put it in the dishwasher. After cleaning, refill the water tank to the ''Max'' line.
9. When you have filled the tank to the ''Max'' mark, you can put it back in the appliance and turn the appliance back on.
10. Activate the machine by turning the On/Off button on the right-hand side of the Tassimo machine to the On position.
11. Place the yellow descaling cartridge in the cup holder. This should be placed in the top drawer. The drawer has a special fit for the cups and/or cartridges. Place a mug or cup with a minimum capacity of 250 ml under the drain on the front of the Tassimo machine.
12. Close the appliance.
13. Activate the machine by pressing the coffee button on the front right of your Tassimo machine.
14. After this has been carried out, remove the cup or mug from under your Tassimo appliance and discard the contents of the cup/mug.
15. After this cleaning, you can remove the yellow descaling cartridge and place it back in the drawer under the appliance.
16. Your Tassimo Coffee Machine is cleaned and ready for use.
Descaling your Bosch Tassimo machine
1. If the red light in the picture begins to illuminate, you need to descale your Tassimo machine. First remove the water tank from your Tassimo machine.
2. Fill the water tank to the line with the descale logo (see figure 2) and add two Bosch Tassimo Descaling tablets to the water in the tank.
3. Place the water tank back into your Tassimo machine, then remove the drip tray.
4. At the location of the drip tray, place a jug, mug or cup with a minimum capacity of 500 ml. After placing the jug, open the cup holder.
5. Place the yellow descaling cartridge in the cup holder.
6. Close the cup holder of your Tassimo machine.
7. Hold down the control panel button on the right-hand side of your Tassimo appliance for about 5 seconds. When you have held down this button for about 5 seconds, the appliance will start decalcifying itself, this can take about 30 minutes.
8. After the 30 minutes that the machine has descaled itself, the red light has stopped coming on.
9. You can now remove the water tank from your Tassimo machine and then clean it thoroughly under the tap, you can do this using a cloth, sponge or brush (the water tank cannot be put in the dishwasher).When the water tank is completely cleaned you can fill it up to the ''Max'' line.
10. You can now remove the cup, mug or jug from under your Tassimo machine, empty it and then replace it. Open and close the cup holder of your machine.
11. Now keep the coffee button pressed to allow the machine to flush.
12. When you have flushed your Tassimo machine 3 times, you can discard the contents of the cup, mug or jug.
13. Remove the descaling cartridge from the cup head and replace it in the storage compartment under the appliance. Do not forget to put the drip tray back under your Tassimo coffee machine.
14. Your Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine is fully descaled and can once again provide you with a delicious cup of coffee, tea or chocolate drink.
